Best time of year to visit Tenerife?
We are flexible on dates and trying to work out the best time to visit Tenerife. We want good weather, fewer crowds if possible, and reasonable prices. Any advice?

Tenerife is genuinely a year-round destination — that is what makes it special. The south is sunny virtually every day of the year. If you want guaranteed sunshine with smaller crowds and lower prices, April/May or September/October are ideal.
July and August are peak season — schools are out across Europe and prices are at their highest. The beaches and resorts are very busy. Weather is excellent but it is definitely not the value time to visit.
November to January sees fewer tourists and the lowest prices, especially in the first two weeks of January after the Christmas period. The weather is still mild and pleasant — around 20–22°C in the south.
February is Carnival time and Santa Cruz becomes incredibly lively. Hotels book up many months ahead but if you can plan early, it is a spectacular time to visit.
