About this beach

The windiest beach in Tenerife and a paradise for windsurfers and kitesurfers. The wide sandy beach stretches for over 2 kilometres along the southern coast, with the distinctive Montaña Roja volcanic cone guarding its far end. The constant trade winds are strongest from midday, but the natural lagoon left at low tide keeps shallow paddling calm for families. The town behind the sand — with its board-rental shops, laid-back beach bars and weekend artisan market — has its own bohemian charm that rewards staying beyond a swim.

This is the real deal for wind and kitesurfers — consistent trade winds all afternoon. Rookie board rentals are fair priced on the seafront. Even if you don't ride, the mountain backdrop and people-watching are worth the trip south.

Wietrzna, surowa, piękna. Nawet bez sprzętu warto przyjść podziwiać kitesurferów — to niesamowite widowisko. Woda wpada w piasek, więc trzeba uważać na wiatr, ale klimat tego miasteczka jest magiczny.
