About this beach
A wild, unspoiled black sand beach in the Anaga Rural Park, framed by dramatic cliffs and spectacular sunsets. One of the most photographed spots on the island — and one of the least developed, so bring everything you need. A steep staircase and a scramble over rocks leads down from the small cliff-top parking, and the strong Atlantic currents mean swimming is only for confident swimmers. Time your visit for golden hour, when the Roque rock formations glow and locals gather to watch the sun drop into the sea.

KAKatarzyna ZielińskaRaw, wild and unforgettable. Black volcanic sand under towering cliffs, with surfers dotted in the water. The sunset here genuinely made me emotional — one of the most beautiful places on the island.
