A hidden gem in the north reached only by a 20-minute footpath through banana plantations. This wild black-sand beach rewards the effort with excellent surf breaks, crystal-clear water and a rustic beach bar perched on the rocks. There are no facilities beyond the seasonal kiosk, so bring water and sunscreen — and be prepared to carry everything back up the path. Surfers from across the island consider it one of the most consistent breaks on this coast, and on a weekday you may well have it almost to yourself.
