Canary Islands International Music Festival (FIMC)
Location: Auditorio de Tenerife, Santa Cruz
The 43rd Canary Islands International Music Festival runs from 9 January to 4 February 2027, with 56 concerts across all eight islands. In Tenerife the main symphonic concerts are in the Auditorio de Tenerife in Santa Cruz: the Vienna Symphony with violinist María Dueñas (24 January), the London Philharmonic with pianist Javier Perianes (30 January), the Royal Opera of Versailles orchestra with soprano Nadine Sierra (1 February) and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra under Klaus Mäkelä (3 and 4 February). On 19 January the Teatro Leal in La Laguna hosts a live-to-picture screening of the Goya-winning animated film Mariposas Negras, its score played live under Diego Navarro. Single tickets go on sale on 16 December 2026; students and unemployed people pay €3, and unsold seats are 30% cheaper from 45 minutes before a concert.
