Feria de Ganado y Romería de San Antonio Abad — Buenavista del Norte
This edition has already taken place (25 January 2026). The date of the next one has not been confirmed yet. See upcoming events
Location: Buenavista del Norte
San Antonio Abad, the patron saint of animals, is celebrated in late January in several farming towns of Tenerife, and Buenavista del Norte, at the island's north-western tip, holds one of the oldest versions: a livestock fair and a romería (pilgrimage) honouring the saint, documented since 1528. Farmers bring cattle, goats and horses into town and the religious ceremonies traditionally end with the blessing of the livestock. The 2026 edition was held on Sunday 25 January from 10:00. The 2027 date will be added once the town council publishes its programme.
