Naviera Armas is Fred Olsen's main competitor on the inter-island routes, sailing from both Los Cristianos and Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Gran Canaria, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro, generally at a somewhat lower price than the express catamarans in exchange for a longer crossing time. It is a solid option for travellers who want to bring a vehicle across, are less pressed for time, or are simply looking for the cheaper of the two main operators on a given route.
