Tenerife North Airport — Los Rodeos (TFN)

Tenerife North (Los Rodeos, code TFN) is the older of the island's two airports and today mainly handles domestic flights — connections to the other Canary Islands and mainland Spain — plus a smaller number of European routes. It is the better choice if you're staying in Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava or Santa Cruz, cutting out the long road transfer from the south, though its higher, cloudier location means flights are occasionally more affected by fog than the south airport.
