Nothing prepares you for how loud and colourful this carnival is — we booked our hotel 8 months ahead and it still wasn't cheap.

Grabbed a table right by the harbour for dinner tonight.
Booked our cable car tickets exactly 3 weeks in advance and got a great morning slot — the views above the clouds are something else.
Took the kids here and it was so calm, barely any waves at all — perfect first beach day for a 4-year-old.
